Jets @ Patriots

Get ready for round three folks, because the Jets and Patriots will meet again, this time with much more than divisional superiority and bragging rights on the line. This time the winner will be one win closer to touching the Lombardi trophy. The feeling around the country is a "here we go again" type of feeling, as last time the two rivals met there was a lot of back and forth garbage talk from both sides, actually, all of it was from the Jets.

The last time the Jets came into Gillette they were brimming with confidence, only to be thrashed by the Randymosslessnewlookpatriots. Ryan put down the loss to a lack of preparation for the new Patriots offense, one that spread the ball around and was just as confusing as a colorless Rubik's-cube. Ryan says his team will be more prepared for the Pats offense this time around. You see, that's the beauty: There is no possible way to prepare for the offense. That is the new identity. It is rare that you see the same receiver or tight-end filling up the stat sheet in consecutive weeks. That does not mean the offense is inconsistent, they've put up over 30 points in each of the last nine contests.

The Jets offense will also have problems. They will try to run the ball all day long, and that may work for a bit, but eventually they will have to put Sanchez to the test against the opportunistic Patriots defense. Led by rookie interception monster Devin McCourty, the Patriots defense always seems to find away to sway momentum.

In the end, Brady is better than Sanchez, Belichick is smarter than Ryan, and the Jets defense does not get as many turnovers. The Patriots will open the game with a touchdown and the Jets will panic by throwing the ball too many times into Patriots hands.

  1. Color-less Rubik's cube! Ryan may spew technicolor yarn from his yarn, but all his defense can do is prepare for a cube that may turn out to be a sphere.

The Pats will have to be ready for a run oriented offense. If they can control it, that is all the difference in the game.
